The Chapel Harrogate
- Publication
The Chapel Harrogate is the first in a series of books published by art connoisseur Mark Hinchliffe. The publication documents the conversion of the Grade II listed Italianate chapel which has been restored to provide a boutique bed and breakfast in the heart of Harrogate, UK.
The book features hundreds of Mark's own photographs from 2013–2019, as well as photography by Alex Telfer and Sean Martin. Additionally, the book includes a foreword by historian Malcolm Neesam and words by architect and television presenter George Clarke.
Mark commissioned the studio in order to help curate and design the book. This process included the selection of images from an archive of over 8,000, stored on multiple smartphones and tablets.
Due to the inherently religious context of the book, various motifs were employed to compliment this, including the choice of typeface Amen Display by Hungarumlaut and the use of the colour gold throughout.
